'Windpark Fryslân' has started building the wind turbines in the IJsselmeer. From March to June 2021, the 89 wind turbines will be shipped, installed and tested. This is the final phase of the construction project and an important milestone for the wind farm. During this phase, Wagenborg will take care of the transport of the blades and tower sections with various tugs and pontoons.

Recently, a so-called Selective Catalyst Reduction (SCR) system was installed in the oldest Wagenborg tugboat 'Waterpoort' - built in 1962 and equipped with an old Stork Werkspoor engine. Earlier this week, Wagenborg has shipped a deck cargo of silos to the Finnish Gulf. The project cargo was loaded on the mv IJzerborg in the port of Antwerp, Belgium. The mv IJzerborg is one of the geared 12.000 DWT vessels in the Wagenborg fleet.
