Earlier this week, Wagenborg has shipped a cargo of various steel product to the Great Lakes in the USA. In various Baltic ports ferrochrome, steel bars and aluminium was loaded on the mv Máxima destined for the American market. The mv Máxima is one of the EasyMax vessels in the Wagenborg fleet.
Earlier this week, Wagenborg has shipped a cargo of various forest product to the US East Coast. In various Baltic ports this timber, wood pulp and paper was loaded on the mv Arneborg destined for the American market. The mv Arneborg is one of the geared 15.750 DWCC vessels in the Wagenborg fleet.
After a few weeks of maintenance, the MV Medemborg has been taken into service again after her fifth class renewal. After this refit in Liepaja, the 9.000 DWT M-type vessel was put back into operations for many more years of reliable service.
Recently, the construction of the third EasyMax started at shipyard Royal Niestern Sander. This new multipurpose vessel was ordered recently and is expected to be delivered and put into operation in 2023.
After a few weeks of regular maintenance for her first class renewal the MV Egbert Wagenborg has been taken into service again. During this docking period in Klaipėda, the 13.800 DWCC Easymax vessel received various ‘green’ updates. This makes this vessel even greener and more environmentally friendly.
From May 17th until May 19th 2022 Breakbulk Europe 2022 will take place at Ahoy Rotterdam in the Netherlands. Breakbulk Europe 2022 is the largest exhibition & educational forum in Europe addressing the needs of traditional breakbulk and project cargo logistics professionals.
Last week Wagenborg Shipping placed an order at the Royal Niestern Sander shipyard for the construction of a sister ship of the Egbert Wagenborg and the Máxima. The third vessel of this EasyMax type is expected to be delivered in the first half of 2023. In addition, an option has also been taken on a fourth EasyMax.
On January 26, the Baie-Comeau Port Corporation officially welcomed the MV Alaskaborg and her captain, Mr. Alexander Vavilin, who came to deliver 14,500 metric tons of anodes for Baie-Comeau.
Nobody could have predicted how turbulent the past months would be. So many otherwise stable factors have become disrupted, leading to uncertainty which can easily become paralysing. But that is our worst-case scenario. We need to move on, building on our assets, ‘our people' and on our abilities. In close cooperation with customers, suppliers and all Wagenborg people we look back on 2021 with satisfaction.
