The project is a join venture between Wagenborg Sweden, Bolk Transport BV and GE Wind for the shipment of nacelles, hubs and drive trains for 33 windmills that will be built in the Ramsele area and stretches over 17 voyages. The first shipment will be in week 26 and continues over the summer to Mid-October. In addition to this cargo, Wagenborg will also ship several cranes and other heavy units used to install these windmills.
Normally, the Wagenborg RORO liner service calls the ports of Haraholmen (Piteå), Bremen, Sheerness, Terneuzen, Cuxhaven and Södertälje. As of week 27 Wagenborg is expanding her liner service going northbound and will call the port of Sundsvall on a weekly basis until late autumn. Hence, Wagenborg further developed the possibility to carry cargo from the continent to Sweden.
