Earlier this year, Royal Wagenborg has announced to extend the sailing area of her geared MPP fleet to include West Africa. When looking at the current sailing area, this extension was a logical next step. Significant synergies can be seen between the fleet, existing key industries and the opportunities in the region. During the last months Wagenborg started to work on a strategic extension of her sailing area to include West-Africa. When looking at the current sailing area, the extension is a logical next step. Significant synergies can be seen between our fleet, existing key industries and the opportunities in the region. The regional development will be focused on the area from Senegal upto Cameroon, but specifically excluding Nigeria (for safety reasons) and from a fleet perspective on the 8.000t and larger vessel sizes.
