Shore power connection at Wagenborg terminal Eemshaven
Wagenborg wants to contribute to a cleaner environment and less emissions on the quays in the port. A good example is the realization of a shore power connection on our quay in Eemshaven.
With this shore power connection, vessels moored at the Wagenborg quayside in Eemshaven do not need to burn MGO fuel for their auxiliary engines, since the shore power connection meets most of the ship’s energy requirements. This way Sox, NOx and CO2 emissions are reduced significantly in the port and loading and discharging operations will be executed in a more environmentally friendly way.
