Wagenborg Shipping orders third EasyMax at shipyard Niestern Sander
Last week Wagenborg Shipping placed an order at the Royal Niestern Sander shipyard for the construction of a sister ship of the Egbert Wagenborg and the Máxima. The third vessel of this EasyMax type is expected to be delivered in the first half of 2023. In addition, an option has also been taken on a fourth EasyMax.
About the EasyMax
The EasyMax concept is a multi-purpose vessel with a cargo capacity of 14,000 tons and was jointly developed by Wagenborg and Niestern Sander. Wagenborg was awarded the KVNR Maritime Shipping Award in 2018 for this ship design, partly due to its superior fuel efficiency. The Egbert Wagenborg and Máxima have now proven themselves as sustainable and successful ship types and, together with her future sisters, will continue to contribute to Wagenborg Shipping's position as a leading multipurpose shipping company.
